Default Cdc ids+ is now fitted to the signum

    HI ALL

right ive now finally retro fitted to the signum continuous damping control ids+ via a push of the sports switch.

it was pretty straight forward by adding all the relevant wiring harnesses and sensors then came the vxr suspension setup although the rear springs from a hatch made the signum too low so the original springs were re fitted and its now sitting pretty nicely.

taken it on a test drive and wow what a difference response from a press of the sports switch,it stiffens it up so good and
those corners you just fly round without any body roll.

so now another successful retro fit modifcation

    cheers

We did this yesterday and it does make a big difference, except we didnt fit the dampers as the person preferred his own spring/shock setup. I may do this to mine as well. btw Andy how did you find fitting the new ABS/TC/ESP and the different union sizes?

do you mean the driveshafts that go into the hubs ?

if so then the 2.8 driveshaft splines are all the same ones,if fitting to other engine types then it be best to just swap the existing hubs over
if the legs are from a vxr etc as i cant see the 1.9 being the same size as the 2.8 so the abs hubs have to be swapped which isnt a problem
tbh straight forward job.you just use ya existing hubs.

so how can the person have cdc ids+ wen hes not had the dampers changed to the cdc ones as the sports switch stiffens the suspension
as the dampers have solenoids on them ?

We did the rest of the system which includes the VXR ABS unit, the cdc and the yaw rate sensor. But the ABS unit has different size unions compared to the originals.

oh right ic what ya on about m8

well then no mine already has esp tc as std as its the 2.8v6 so i didnt have to change the abs pump.

its more like the 1.9cdti that will have to be changed unless it comes already fitted with esp tc but there not switchable
unless as you say the abs pump is changed for the correct 1.

    cheers
