    Default ncdc 2013?

How much is a reasonable price for a ncdc 2013 and can I have sat nav with a GID or does it need to be a CID? If I need a CID how much for one of those also? I'm really keen to get factory sat nav in my Vec but need to know if it's worth the expense? Is the sat nav comparable with a Tom Tom or is it better or worse? Sorry for all the questions, thanks in advance for your responses!

Hi. I helped a member out recently with a map disc for one of these. He had a GID whereas my system has a CID. Until we put the disk in, neither of us realised that the NCDC2013 with a GID doesn't have the ability to show an actual map, only a set of turn instructions / graphics coupled with the audio navi help.

I hope this helps you make up your mind before you rush out to spend money on this system

It is not really a satnav you could compare with todays TomToms or the like.

Go buy yourself a decent Garmin or similar and spend what you've saved on something nice.....I have the CD70 in mine and apart from the aux in it's nothing amazing

I was afraid that would probably make more sense, I guess I like the idea of a factory look system with sat nav, but if the sat nav is not really up to the standards of a Tom Tom or whatever then what's the point? Maybe I can go down the route of fitting an aftermarket sat nav in somewhere to make it look integrated?

well i have a ncdc and cid. I actually threw out my efter marked satnav.. as its good enough for my self.. i dont need to look on the map. the instruktions is good enough for me.

Most (like all) functions in a garmin ect. is pretty much useless.... but hey im also used to use a proper roadmap, so knows like 95% of the road, before i go there.

The built in sat navs (NCDC or CD70 Nav) are fine, just not as comprehensive as a TomTom. The big plus points are: its built in so no need to stick it to your windscreen, Looks better with the Infotainment centre, Nifty features like - telling you where the nearest petrol station is when low on fuel (CD70). And you dont need to charge the damn thing every time you come to use it.

Ncdc2013 is ok but a pita to use. There is no postcode search, street name and city/area only. It is pretty basic but it does the job.
