    Default Petrol Flap

The locking on my Vectra petrol flap has stopped working. When it stopped it was in the locked position so my wife took it to our local Vauxhall dealer as she was about to run out of diesel. They dis-located the locking motor and left it hanging on its wire, telling her that the locking motor was knackered. When I got home (I work away from home) I checked out the locking motor which goes to the lock position every time but only pulses the locking bar when asked to open. I accepted the Vauxhall dealer's suggestion of a knackered locking motor and bought a new one. Unfortunately it is exactly the same - so I suspect the locking motor is not at fault.

My car has recently had an accident repair to the nearside front wing (replaced) / front passenger door - but it was filled with diesel a few times before the locking motor stopped working properly.

    Any idea's ?

You have to replace the fuse when replacing the motor. Common fault it seems. Just dislodged my motor so now don't have locking cap, not bothered though.

As far as I am aware it has been a requirement for years for a lockable fuel cap but a lockable fuel flap fits the bill as well

O.K. so now for a stupid question - where is the fuse box that houses F18 / F19 ?
