Default Old newbie looking for opinions

previous 1.8sri owner and joined the site back in 2008. Owned the car for 4 years of hassle free motoring. Added 19" snowflakes, irmy grill and few interior irmscher bits. Car now sold and driving £150 vec b Sri. Not fully decided on next motor but options vec b Gsi, vec c Gsi or vec Vxr. The Vxr probably out of my price range currently, vec b I like but way over 6 feet tall with 3 kids so vec c much more space. But keep looking at difference in kit between Vxr and Gsi and the Gsi looks so much the 2nd class citizen. In a dilemma.

If you have the money go for the VXR, but I don't regret going for my 3.2 Signum, it has plenty of kit, a good noise and a good turn of speed. The Vec C GSI is still no slouch, 7s to 60 and is going for peanuts these days.

That's the dilemma, Vxr does come with more kit that looks the part, but Gsi is. Cheap as chips.

I changed from my GSi in April to a VXR.
Early GSi's come with alot more toys then from around 04-05 Vauxhall started to remove standard toys and make them as a option.
My VXR has only single climate control, no sat nav and no auto dip mirror but as far as I'm concerned it's less to go wrong , plus the fact that the extra power makes my smile.

Prices of VXR's have started to drop now so I'd say go for one

I love my Gsi ! How much do you want to spend on a motor that is going to do nothing more than make you smile and cost you money ? If you want great value for money, a Gsi represents SUPER Value . But Hey, go ahead, spend more and be happy m8. Welcome back "home"
