    Default Z20NET guru's...

    Right..

Only when cold i.e first thing am or after the days work.. starts fine but goes into limp mode pretty much straight away.. stop start engine a few times in the journey and it clears fine until warm then all great.

Code read car last night and nothing came up?

I changed the water sensor (15393755) in March this year for same symptoms.. could this be belly up again? Any oter sensor or common problem i've over looked?

    Thanks in advance

I suggest leaving it in limp home mode, i.e. don't switch the engine off to clear it, keep driving and a fault code should appear.

The most common causes of limp mode on the 2.0T's are the boost sensors (one on the turbo, one on the inlet manifold) or the coils but without a fault code it's impossible to be sure.

I have a pair of those from when i thought they was at fault but was the coil pack(s).. replaced all four of those brand new genuine items
