    Default Bosch Parkpilot

    All,
I have been looking at Bosch's latest car products and they have released a new version of parkpilot for the aftermarket. The good thing is it matches the higher quality look of factory system sensors for the rear bumper. The problem is where can I enquire on price for it.

There is no mention of it on the uk site but plenty on the German site, I have even googled it and it still hasn't returned anywhere to buy it from. Does anyone know if there is a Bosch dealer in the Uk who I can email to enquire with a possilble purchase.

    Part number is 0 263 009 502

The link to the bosch site http://aa.bosch.de/advastaboschaa/Pr...&publication=1

    Cheers,

    Paul.

Now found out the kit is their latest version and is numbered urf 6. I believe Vauxhall were fitting the urf 4 which apparantly had it's problems. The above part number is for the rear sensors.

Still can't find where i can buy it though. Suprised there is no German sites with it.

Yup, that's what I had fitted some time ago and was the Vx aftermarket kit they were using then. I had no problems with it, apart from the beeper being a bit quieter than I'd have liked. When I had the Merc hit me up the behind the sensors, and whole kit, needed replaced and by then my dealer had stopped fitting the Bosch ones (due to too many problems with them) and fitted a Cobra one. Much louder beeper and works perfectly. With the bypass relay I kept the 'light your way home' feature without the beeper going off.

Don't know if it's worth a look at the Cobra range as well?

What are the sensors like Duncan, the new bosch ones are alot smaller, similar to facelift factory ones.

Just spoke to Andrew Page, Bosch dealer in Leeds and these kits are £109.30 + Vat. Big saving on Vauxhall prices and are geared for aftermarket diy fitting. For reference if anyone is interested the kit is URF6 with four sensors 0 263 009 502

Gives a factory finish on the sensors. This was one thing I disliked on the ebay kit I had the sensors looked tacky.

Could do with someone with a Andrew Page trade account now to get a bit of discount.

The Cobra ones are smaller than the Bosch ones that were on before. I can measure one for you if you like?

Thanks for the offer D, i'm going to order the Bosch kit on Monday, the father in law can get discount on Bosch gear so will work out even cheaper.

The dash switch isn`t that useful to be honest, the front sensors come on when you select reverse and switch themselves off again after a certain time / speed. I haven`t really used the switch as usually if you need the sensors you are reversing anyway ? On the odd occasion you need the fronts without reversing you could still stick it into reverse to engage the sensors could you not ?? That is my experience with them anyway .
