Hey all,

I have done a few jobs on the car since purchase last Saturday (Vectra 1.9cdti SXI 150) 05 plate 87k

Pollen filter

Airbox mod - trumpet top removed (waiting on K&N in post to replace old filter)
The 2 vacuum pipes which were split/brittle, well, one was split, but both brittle so replaced (located bottom right of engine)

Removed the drainage rubber bung under scuttle panel (think there is another, but not sure where)

Removed & cleaned the turbo pressure sensor thingy at back middle of engine (was caked in black sludge)

Had front wheels balanced as steering wheel shook a little at 60mph+ (now sorted)

New Tax disc holder ordered (current one pants and wont stick)

New mats arrived so they are in (thanks to a discount link on here)

Jobs to do:

Clean EGR valve
Fit Redbox that arrived from DTUK yesterday
Fit new thermostat (ordered today from eBay)
Sort headlights out as they are badly marred (milky looking) and need new bulbs I think as current one's are a bit pants!

Can anyone else think of preventative maintence I should be doing?
All suggestions greatly appreciated.

If it has no timing belt history a belt and water pump would be top of my list of things to do. Technically it doesnt need done for another 13k, but as most here know its the water pump that seizes and shreds the belt, before the 100k mark.

tip for your headlights, gives them a sand with 1500 wet and dry then use a good polish to bring the shine back

makes them look new again

VX fixed price is £249 for the belt, id factor in another £50 for the pump, of course an independent will be cheaper.

Can anyone recommend decent headlight bulbs please?

For the full timing belt kit and waterpump I was 400 all genuine Vauxhall and fitted by dealers
