Hey all Vaux owners

I bought a vaux vectra 1.9cdti 150 on saturday gone and have done the following thus far (yest & tonight)

Modded the airbox and spinned the filter round (hoovered) until the k&n arrives.

Replaced both brittle pipes (located bottom right of engine cover) with new sillicon ones.

Cleaned the turbo pressure valve thingy (top centre back of engine) which was completely manking!

Now I'm going to clean (on sunday) the EGR valve properly before I install the red box that came today from DTUK.

Anything else that may be beneficial to me doing preventative maintenance or other would be appreciated.

Sounds good, add some decent headlight bulbs to your list too...standard lights are a bit cack!

nothing engine related, but clean out the drain plug under the scuttle panel below bonnet, they gunk up with leaves and crap, and then the rain water floods down the inside of the dash, playing havoc with your interior heating fans

I bought some Ring 120% Brighter Xenon style H7's and some whiter 501's for side lights, made it much easier to drive in the dark, after you've figured out how to drop the front bumper.

I would prob blank the EGR since all it does is make the engine eat its own waste products. Hope you enjoy it
