    Default Phase 1 Complete! :D

Well following on from this thread my relays arrived today and not one for letting the dark stop me I have now completed phase one which:

    • Provides power to the power lead to plug into the sensor control box
    • Provides a ground connection to link into the stereo mute pin

This is only done when both the ignition is on and reverse gear is engaged.

So here is Phase 1 complete with the ground lead and power lead for the sensor box at the bottom of the picture

I will definately have to add an in-line variable resistor to the buzzer cable though as it's FAR too loud ... it would drive me insane as it is! So I need to source a suitable switch and then onwards with phase 2 ... but I think I will wait until it's light for that as Phase 2 will consist of:

    • Fixing buzzer to the upper side of the headlining
    • Running mute lead along the headlining, down the A Pillar, behind the glovebox and into the back of the head unit
    • Removing bumper and drilling holes
    • Fitting sensors and feeding leads into boot space
    • Connecting power, buzzer and sensors to control box and fixing in place

So here's how phase 1 looks now:

    I've also taken a few pics for a how-to when I'm done

    Dave

All my wiring is sorted and proved working now (apart from the radio mute which should be a doddle) I'm removing the bumper so I can see the drill marks but thanks for the tip

If you haven't already bought yourself a bypass relay can I suggest you get one of these (the bloke has 8 left): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...9895&rd=1&rd=1

If you need help with the wiring before I get the how-to done let me know
