    Default How much anti freeze?

I'm having my timing belt and water pump changed on the Gsi. How much antifreeze do I need to put in the coolant water when replaced. I'm supplying the garage with all the parts.

I always tend to use a minimum 50% mix personally, give them a 5l drum and top the rest off with water and it will protect you down to well under -10C with no issues.

5lt should be more than enough, even for the 3.2. Just watch you dont buy ready mixed. My local vx dealer was doing it at less than £12 for VX OAT antifreeze a few weeks back.

That's ok if your hydrometer is compatable with OAT antifreeze. Some aren't and you'll get an inacurate reading.
