Upgrading to factory sat nav

Hi

I currently have a CDR2005 VDO head unit. I wont to upgrade this to a factory headunit that has sat nav.

What options do I have?

Two options i think

Option 1 spend £000's having it retro fitted

Option 2 buy a car with it fitted

Unfortunately its something that has been talked about on here a fair bit and the genaral concensus is it aint worth doing ........Sorry !!!!

I have seen a CDC40 with CID for sale. It is off an 06 vectra. Would this fit?

Please Dont Buy The One On Ebay Its Not A Sat Nav Unit !!!!!!!

The CDC40 is not a sat nav unit the seller has worded it very skillfully also it has not been disabled from the car so its useless anyway !!!!!!!

buy a tomtom one, they are great ( and getting cheaper)

i think i will have to look at that option. did fancy having the color screen on a factory unit but not if its going to cost me stuoid money

Glad i could help i just dont like seeing people getting ripped off .........As far as sat nav goes best option is an aftermarket one there is some belters out there nowadays !!!!!

I wanted Sat Nav and a flip key for my '04 SRi... so I took option 2!!!!
