    Default front brake pads moving

whilst looking for a clunk from the front of the car, seperate thread. i thought i would grease up the caliper slide bolts, forgot to do when i changed the pads. i noticed the discs still hadnt worn very well, there is a 3 or 4 cm of surface not touched by the pads on the outer edge of the disc, i thought it was just the old pads that were shot, but the new ones arent touching either, on the outer side of disc, all shiney on the whole surface. also the rear pads, the ones connected to the piston move, only 3mm but they def move, is this normal??? they dont move outwards, just rock in the carrier

i think the calipers dont like the cheapos they look exaclty the same as the GM ones i think it might be somthing to do with the anti squeek pad on the back of them. i would replace them with the GM ones see if that solves ure problem.

also there are 2 types of rear brakes with a year breakpoint on them, there is a 1mm dfifference between the pads which enough for them to rattle, been there done that and then got the correct type
Plasma's Tech2 services are now open and able to provide services
