    Default Mis-read the MOT sheet

What a week, getting everything done for the MOT that failed last week and finding the time to sort it myself within the 10 days retest limit.

I've only gone and replaced the wrong ****ing tyres!! I got a fail on what i thought was the N/S/F tyre (all but the inner edge was legal tread depth), O/S/F got an advisory (low tread) along with the rear two (for being the wrong size) among other failing points (reg plate, snapped rear coil, brake pipes not clipped in(god knows how they came out), split track-rod end rubber, locking centre seatbelt )

Turns out i got it wrong and didn't find out til i presented it for it's retest today, it was the N/S/R tyre that failed, not the front and now i've got to fork out for 2 more tyres (Cos i'll have to get same size to match the correct ones) and another test Skinto now!

Best bit was, i felt great walking into the test centre with my key ready for the test thinking "Sorted", til the bloke came back in the office and asked "Which tyre did you replace? Cos it's still failed"..... Arse!!

The failed tyres, for below tread depth, are supposed to be marked with X marked with yellow chalk at opposite sides of the tyre, making it easier to identify

We always mark nowadays used to get people with 1 tyre faiiure swapping wheels around and coming back when we were busy as 9 out of 10 times if it was just a tyre on retest we would just go outside and check the one it said on the failiure sheet

that is the reason why I always check all four ( or 6 on a twin wheeler ) tyres , some people have no conscience & will do anything dodgy to blag an MOT .
