When I went to change the glow plugs on my car I noticed the egr valve mounting holes, the ones that locate the bolts, Only one side had half the mounting flange for the bolt.

I have sourced another valve but was wondering if I can transfer the internal of the valve as the current one is working fine and has less miles on it.
    Thanks in advance

    1.9cdti 120?

Do you mean the EGR to manifold bolts (the long M13ish(!) that go through the spacer bracket) or the EGR solenoid to EGR body (the 4 small torx head bolts)?

If it's the big bolts, then this is only for keeping the EGR still to prevent stress on the metal inlet and outlet hoses - just replace the entire EGR. If it's the small torx bolts, then you can probably just replace the solenoid, although I believe there was an update on the EGR design at some point which may mean you can't do this - sorry not sure. Someone will know.

Its the long M3 bolts hole that is broken, managed to get a replacement for £10 although its a from a 2007 Vectra not sure if its 120 or 150 version?

My car is a 120 1.9 CDTI 2004, are the 120 and 150 egr valves the same, and if their was an update to the EGR in which year? , or does this not matter if replacing the whole unit.

I assume I need to get new gaskets from GM?

EGRs on the 120 and 150 are different - 120 has two diamond shaped ports for inlet and outlet. The 150 EGR has one much larger rectangular port that fits directly onto the inlet manifold rather then via a metal 90deg hose. So, if your replacement EGR looks like your current one, then it will be correct....except I don't know about the update that was apparently introduced, I think for the solenoid. I seem to remember someone saying that a software update is required fo rthe updated EGR, but I could be wrong. I would just try fitting the replacement and see how it goes, preferably with new gaskets.
