Default Clutch + DMF + master + slave cylinder

    Hi folks,

2006 1.9 CDTi 150... wife broke down this morning (in the car, not emotionally) with clutch pedal essentially all the way to the floor and not able to get it in gear.

Car's been recovered to a local independent. Master cylinder needs replacing, as does concentric slave. Box is making a horrible noise at idle (to be fair it's been rattling for 18 months+) ... and so DMF is needed too.

So... my question is - does this add up to:
    - New clutch
    - DMF
    - Master
    - Slave
... or is the "slave" part of the clutch? I'm just trying to assess how much I should be paying for this, referencing threads such as: http://www.vectra-c.com/forum/showth...3-noisy-clutch

The car's done 110k miles and we've had her from 13k with only a Power Steering pump before now, so I can't complain. But it's still not the best day I've had in a while(!)

    Thanks all.

Had all 3 done a few months back. 3.0 V6 and had to hunt around but got parts and fitted for £850. Yours should be cheaper than that but DO NOT go through a Vauxhall Dealer. They will seriously rip you off. They wanted£1100 for the parts and another £500 to fit!!

^^ Wish it were that cheap for my GSi. The cheapest I can find just a DMF for is £440 on eBay... Paul

    Thanks for the info.

I wasn't really in much of a position to barter as the car was 45 miles from where I live, 55 from where I work, and undriveable. A local indy recovered it and quoted:
    Clutch - 144 + VAT
    DMF (LUK) - 192.50 + VAT
    Slave - 72 + VAT
    Master - 68 + VAT
    Labour (6hrs) - 390 + VAT
... totalling £1039ish ... but they agreed last night to do it for £1000. Not the cheapest job in the world but comes with a 2yr warranty and they're not charging for the recovery and diagnosis.

She'd better run smoooooth after all this(!)

Paid 550 all in (i think) for parts online. The garage was making plenty from the labour to be stiffing you on the parts as well

Got the car back last night and it's a dream to drive... not quite as smooth as my C class... but a different animal compared to the vibrating chugger it was before. It's almost like 70,000 of the 110,000 miles its done have been taken away.

Only one question... cruising up the motorway home, all was fine. However I came off the slip road, went to change gear and couldn't get it in. Clutch wasn't disengaging. I faffed at the lights for a bit before manually pulling the pedal back up with my foot, then depressing again. That fixed the issue. But it's done it again since then, needing the pedal to be pulled up before it works properly.

I'll be taking it back to the garage next week to get them to look - but just wanted to check I'm not doing any major damage driving it like this until then.

    Thanks all.

Apparently it just needs another bleed. Quite common on hydraulic clutches according to a mate of mine.
