    Default help! 1.9cdti 150

    we have a 2007 1.9cdti 150 estate (82,000 miles) which is driving us mad! Hard to describe problem, the engine is lumpy (my husband says if it had plugs it feels as though 1 of them needs cleaning).
    we have looked on the forum and tried all the things below and we still have the same problem.

    checked swirl valves (now glued them open)
    Cleaned EGR and throttle body
    replaced 3rd injector wiring
    checked injectors
    used a de-coker

    my husband is about to give up and take it into our local garage, any further advice form anyone would be great.

    when you cleaned the throttle body did you resolder the joints or check them with a magnifying glass for cracks?

    Are there any lights on the dash?

    Have you had anyone check the codes if there is any?

    Have you replaced the fuel filter or when was the last time it was replaced?

    Could well be your DPF has got blocked.

    What mileage do you do?

    I've done 8k since drilling holes through my DPF and it hasn't been lumpy since.

    Was on and off lumpy for 100k+ beforehand. Egr/boost sensor/thottlebody cleans/checks only went so far.

    It will liberate the engine

    Check air box filter, check coolant, change fuel filter as my car's running smoother now the filter been changed,

    Get codes read. Cleared then take for a drive to get new current codes. Post them all on here :-)

    Hi

    Sorry it has taken me so long to update on the outcome of the ongoing saga of my husbands car.Finally we have it sorted, it was the DMF, can't believe the difference in the car, runs brilliantly now. I have to say that this forum has been brilliant, we tried all the quick and cheap fixes that had been suggested before finally handing the car to our local garage. We purchased a new DMF ourselves and the garage fitted it, fingers crossed to trouble free motoring!

    Good news, did you replace the clutch and release bearing at the same time a faulty DMF will have damaged the clutch?

    Vectra vxr custome remaps egr deletes dpf and diagnostic work all remaps are custome bench tuning avalible all genuine equipment PM for info
