    Default random engine switch off

for the last couple of days it's been really cold in the mornings.. I can be driving around and all of a sudden my Speedo, rev, fuel temperature switch off and the battery light comes on with a car and spanner but after a couple of times of turning the car starts up fine. does any body have this problem or know what the problem is caused by???

Sounds like its being starved of fuel. Had it on old carb'd motors but never on on injected car.

    And codes stored?

I forgot to add.... after having these problems while driving to work I park the car in a carpark for 8 hours and drive home with no problems.. I'm very confused into why my car only does this when cold
