Default Parrot MKi9200. Purchased Unika on Ebay, Installation???

    Hi everyone,

Made a rash and impulsive decision to buy a Unika kit to go with the recently halfords semi installed MKi9200 car kit.

It says on the website that it easy to install, but after reading the instruction on the website (very confusing) I am at a loss to as how hard it will actually be. There does seem some warnings on connecting to the 12v feed but other than that the instructions still seem very universal.

I suppose it may become clear when the kit turns up, kind of regretting the expense already, there is nothing wrong with the wireless remote.

I build motor control systems for a living so I do not know why I panic with the prospect of wiring this but I do.

Should have spend money on mudflaps...

think it should be + - and then 2 wires for the canbus... Not sure which speed they'll need to be on, probably mid

    A BARGAIN !!

I looked at a different one and then realising that I would still be unable to use the master volume control with the Parrot, onlt the steering wheel buttons, decided not to, but would be pleased to hear what you think of its capabilities when fitted

I'm assuming you have a full canbus setup because I also couldn't decide whether it would work on my preface with a halfcan?

Well although I have not had the glove box out yet to see what connections are behind there I must admit I am completely lost with the installation of this thing. Thought I might just plug it in and it would work. I do not really know what CanBus is.

The diagrams that are obviously designed to be good for all languages are confusing the heck out of me.

So the model I have is PI090020AC and Parrot says should be PI090020AA, Although its supposed to be universal this says on unit for MKi and RKi Series.

Any ideas, I really want to get this fitted today, still cannot identify where the canbus connections are made, will it be obvious when I see all wiring in the car??
