Default why front breaks sound like a old door?

hello all ive a problem with my front left breaks sounding the best way i can explain it is like a old door squeeking when opened, id first herd it 2 weeks ago and got the mec to have a look which was put down to discs and pads so ive new ones and the noise went away but now its back , its not a squeeky pad, it seems to be a caliper noise or something when the breaks are pressed anyone???

easy one... need to strip the brakes again and this time re-assemble the pads into the calipers with a sopt of copper grease on the backers and where they sit in the pad grooves.. it will stop the classic 'ringing'..

cheers mate i know what you mean but the copper slip was put on allready , im trying to think of the kinda noise more presice, its when the brakes are applied it sounds like a spring being streched when the caliper is moving the pad so its not a high pitch squeek as if it was what your on about but more of a rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr ( only quality threads from me )

Mine make a very smilar noise, only really hear it just as I come to a stop. A kind of springy noise, seems to be on the n/s front. I can't get to the bottom of what it is either

Yeah, I thought maybe it was a wish bone bush or similar but it doesn't do it over any bumps etc. Just when stopping just like you say !

My pads where changed about 7k miles ago, I'm trying to remember when I first noticed this, I'm certain it didn't do it before they were changed.

Sounds to me like it could be the bushes. When you brake, the weight of the car shifts forward, so slowly puts the weight on the front suspension. When you go over a speed bump, it happens alot quicker so you wouldn't get the slow "rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr".
Try some spray grease on all the bushes first , but give it some time to 'work' into the gaps, bit like wd40. May take a day or so.

Or does this just sound like a load of B******s ! lol

Have consideration for the deaf, if you're gunna fart, make it smell !
