Question Major decision. Keep the vectra with 100k on or change it....advice needed

It's now decision time. My vectra is 56 plate 1.9 cdti (150) with 100k on the clock. It's all paid for. Next year we will be buying a new family car but we need a second car for travelling to work. At the moment i'm using my trusty 13 year old micra but this is now rotten.
So I'm thinking...do I sell the vectra and buy small hatch or do i keep the vectra to use as my car for work. I will only be doing 6K a year max and it's mainly up and down the A1 so the vectra is ideal really. I've got access to op-com via a mate and another mate is a mechanic and sorts out servicing, brakes etc. And of course I've got all the information that this fantastic site and it's members provide.
Within the past 2 years I have had :- revised inlet manifold, new clutch and DMF, air con condenser and re-gas, alternator. I recently stripped and cleaned the EGR, throttle body, boost sensor, MAF sensor. It runs like a dream....so why flog it??
What do you all think? Really what else major/common could go wrong? What kind of mileage could this car tolerate? By buying another car I could inherit someone else's problems. I'm more inclined to keep the Vectra

keep the vecttra especialy with what you have had done, there should be at least another 50000 in it, only things that should need replacing will be items picked up at mot time?

brake pipes could be one thing that crops up.

For miles your gonna do now, keep until the other 56 plates depreciate and catch up to your milage before selling, that's what I'd do

That's a good point about the MOT as the lad who does the MOT is the same one who does the servicing so I know he will never take the mickey.

is yours a timing belt or chain, could be something that may also need changing, i no nothing about your car mate but others will be able to confirm if its worth looking into chain / belt water pump etc.

you seem to have a reliable car, be a shame and bordering on madness to get shot of it going with what you have had done to it.

D'oh I knew there was something else!!! I've also had a new timing belt and water pump done at 89k. I have tried to cover all bases with this car even to the extent of fitting the silicone boost hoses
