standard setup on sxi, standard or sri?

What shocks and springs does an sxi have? It the pteface which looks like an sri in and out apart from alloys. Is it standard height or Sri?

Depends entirely on the age, earlier ones had standard suspension, later ones had SRi suspension. I think it changed in 2004 but wouldn't swear to it, but it was around that time.

its a 54 plate 1.8 i have my eye on, to replace the knackered 2.2 i bought, thinking of taking the shocks springs off the 2.2, and either try and sell them, and if not, keep as spares for this one

my pre-face 54reg sxi had sri set up as standard factory fit. Give dealer parts dept your reg and they'll tell you.

SXI changed to SRI-spec sports suspension, bumpers, lights, colour-coded side skirts and door handles and visible tailpipes from 2004, but still had 16" alloys.

The shocks can be transfered over if they are better than the ones fitted to the SXi but the springs are matched to axle weight. As long as the axle weight is the same between the 1.8 and 2.2 (which I doubt) then you are fine.
