There seems to be 2 connectors there??
    What are the wire colours?
I can see a red and a brown.
Red is +12V and Brown is 0v or earth.
    Is the alarm siren fitted?

No way is it for towbar cos towbar is multiplug. It seems to have been connected to something specific as its taped up not by vx! Maybe cd changer or summat similar take a pic of the plug pins.

how many sirens does the car have ? 1 inside 1 outside ? am i right in thinking if the inside 1 was disconnected the horn would sound with flashing light instead ?
at the moment the alarm sounds with flashing lights - no horn
thats actually the reason i was looking around anywayz as i have "safeguard" on display and alarm is going off randomly

i will take another pic of the actual end of the connector.

There are 2 connectors for alarm :-) as we use that connector if we have it here, we dont use the 3 pin one here .

    so nor tailgate or towbar.
