Default cdti 120 cut out after thermostat change

Alright guys got little problem here but unsure what to do. Just replaced thermostsat. What a nightmare but since done it the car won't start. Well it did start for like 10 mins then it just started struggling to idle an cut out. Power steering lcd came on to. Tried starting an no go. But I'm not sure if it coz I'm low on fuel. I parked on a kerb (passanger side) an since then cut out. I got 10 miles fuel left. Not sure if diesel low or a connector has water in. There's enough power to turn starter but no go

Does sound like its out of fuel.

My fuel light comes on about 60 miles to go.

Letting it get that low you could have sucked up crap in the tank and also risk running the pump dry and killing the pump.

Sounds fuel related. When I picked my current Vectra up, the range was on 1 mile. Drove 2 miles to the nearest garage, filled up, but the car was hesitant for a good 20 miles after filling up. A good thrashing sorted it

Thanks for replies. Parking car on kerb caused fuel starvation. Fresh fuel an primed a few times and could hear an air rush. Now running fine an steering rack fault was dodgy wire. Cheers guys
