    Default Glow Plug tip BROKEN!

hi all.. Not been about much lately as crazy busy at home / work..

Anyway- Spanner light on the other morning and issue was glow plugs..

Easy so bought a new set and this morning removed all the old ones and inserted new ones.. All went in OK bar one which wouldnt go down the hole. After a faf, looked at the old plug and the tip of the plug that goes right down in the head was missing.
Shine a light down the glow plug hole and its still in there!!!!

So how on earth am I supposed to get that out???

Wondering if I just run the car that compression will blow it out??

I did start and rev it for 10 seconds but no luck... Thinking some plus gas down the hole and take it for a spin?

    What do we think?

GREAT - thats a pig if it wont budge?

    Ant

No - thats come out, its the lower part of the plug that sits right down in the head thats frackured off and is stuck... So I have no thread in the hole and if I shine a torch right down in the glow plug hole I can see the tip of the plug down there.

That will teach me for buying cheap eBay plugs..

    So fed up..

    AHHHH

Me too Chris.. Im tempted to just run it hard down the road and see what happens. Its obviously well in there as its holding compression and allowing the engine to run!

Watch what your doing. If that does come loose it will come through your bonnet like a bullet. Might be an idea to put a piece of thick wood over it, just in case.

My thinking is that if the compression of running the engine wont budge it - then a magnet wont..
