    Default Heater resistor

    Ok, i'm gonna try and see if my car's heater resister is broke, as still get lukewarm heating 15 minutes after i get the temp to 86!

    So advise on which one is correct for facelift 1.9cdti and gonna replace it just in case it is that!!!

    If your're getting lukewarm air, it won't be a failed resistor. If the resistor fails, the fan will only spin on speed 4. It won't affect the air temp.

    It's more likely to be a faulty air mixer motor, or a blocked matrix., or a goosed thermostat. Have you flushed out the cooling system with a hosepipe?

    What does the temp gauge show?

    I tried but dont think its working. Car booked in garage monday to have all checked. The motor moves freely. Control moves it no problems. Could it be somewhere in engine bay?? New thermostat been bought so garage can replace it! They're the expensive type so means good job done!

    i agree its something to do with heat being exchanged, mabe air in the system??
