Well al to cut a long story short he thinks hes the alpha male unfortunately and for all the training we have tried to instill into him has not worked so this is the last resort, and so on the recommendation of a couple of dog trainers we have had him neutered, but it has got to stage whereby he could not be let off the lead,so for his own good and other dogs as well taken into consideration we have had him done.

There's a lot of debate about it but generally it will reduce the aggression and solve the dominance issue - I made the mistake of having two brothers from the same litter and they struggle to sort out who is the dominant dog - they are well matched in size and occasionally have a set too - I've spoken to a couple of vets and dog behaviourists and get conflicting advice some saying have the less dominant one neutered - but its impossible to see who is the most dominant as they are so equally matched - they're four now and had them from 3 months old - both are entire and seem to be a lot more settled as they have got older but I have to watch them at times. Hope it sorts your issue out.
