    Default Tyre rotation

Hi all. It's been a while but I need your help and value the advice on here.

I've got a bit of a puzzler and would like some more opinions. I currently have 19's wearing Pirelli P Zero neros (235/45/19). Now these are very expensive, but also very very good. Now both fronts are about 4.8mm, the rear near side is about 6.8mm and the rear offside is at 3mm or so.

Now what I was thinking was one new tyre and replace the rear offside, move the two rears on to the front, new tyre fitted nearside and the fronts onto the rear. Good idea?

Now should I fit a P Zero at about £300 or fit something cheaper like the Pirelli scorpion or a conti? What are the thoughts on mixing brands etc?

Please help, I'm more than a little confused!

    Cheers

    Big sig

Hey Sean, what you driving now?

Assuming its front wheel drive what I would do is fit the new tyre to the N/S Front(Assuming yet again that this is the shorter drive shaft side, and put the 6.8mm on the OSF and the 4.8mm's on the rear. Now I know some people say you should put the deeper treaded tyres on the back, but I prefer the new tyres on the front for less chance of aquaplaning.

As for tyres, well im having the same dilemma at the moment. I prefer all 4 tyres the same, I need 2 tyres but 215/50 Goodyear NCT5's are £168 each(£336) but for £100 more I could have 4 Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetrical's in 225/45 for £100 more.

Hey how's things? I'm still using the v7 and black light I bought from you!

It's 4x4 F**d Kuga and I was thinking the same as you as to where to fit it. I want to keep the tread depths as close as possible to try to prevent the diffs binding up etc.

Not sure if you can get them in 215/50 but I'd recommend michelin pilot sport 3's

Oh crap, a 4x4. I remember the Calibre 4x4 turbo had huge issues with that.

Yeah these aren't as bad as those, they were very sensitive! It's basically the same system as Audi use

You replace the Mondeo with the Kuga? Mate at Work replaced his E Class with one, loves it.

Yeah didn't keep it long at all, the paint was all different colours in the sunlight do to a past poor paint job. Didn't notice it when I bought it as it only showed up in bright direct sun light. No one really noticed but it really bugged me!
