Absolutely No Clue

Hi everyone. Iv just purchased my very first vectra and have no clue what I'm doing. I have a 53 plate GSI.

How do I change the heating? You know in most cars they have a dial for switching the heating from windscreen to your feet or head etc... I don't have that. I just have two knobs for temps on left and right side with a large knob in the middle controlling the power level.

Tried to read manual but couldn't make head or tail of it. I pressed the middle large knob but nothing happens. Because I have a feeling you need to program it in or something but dunno.

Also should my car have heated seats? Becuse I can't find any buttons for it and I thought the GSI had all the gadgets.

Oh I don't have sat nav.

There will be a big centre button on the control, press that in and the screen will then have the air direction icon thingy on it

If pressing the centre button doesnt work, its more then likely its faulty - you can change the heating onsole very easily and these are often on ebay.

This happened to me in my old and GSI and I had to swap it out

It will only have heated seats if its full leather, half leather dont have them

Also, afaik GSi's didn't have heated seats as standard, they were an option, they Elite's have them as standard

Ahh. I didn't know it was broken

when I turn the centre knob it does turn the power up and down but pressing it does nothing

had the same problem on my elite , removed the panel , unclipped it to get the circuit board out & re soldered the pins on the centre button , then put it back together .

How much would this cost if i just took it to a vauxhall garage?

Me2 lol I didnt have a clue how to change it on my elite I will try it when I got out later.thanks
