Question Thinking Of Getting This Key Fob Casing.

hiya guys. ive had to clean my circuit board again on my keys as its gone dirty again and my keys have stopped working.

    i want to get this

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2511703811...84.m1423.l2649

as you can see it has a red lens in the middle for a light, i dont have one on my key, BUT would i be able to fit a small LED to the circuit board? and if so, how difficult would it be?

any advice greatly appreciated. regards and thanks.

Why not just look in his shop (as he suggests) and buy a fob without the red insert?

your board probably has the led fitted but your fob case hasn't got the see through bit for it to be seen.

Does your circuit board have the LED already?

I bought one a few months ago - similar but not from this seller - found that the plastic buttons were a lot stiffer than the original fob - works fine but you need quite a lot of pressure to operate the buttons. I think the originals are more rubber based and these are plastic.

I've taken my board out on both my keys & there is 100% no led fitted. I've purchased the casing with the lens now too. Should see them soon. If its nice n easy I would like to install a LED to the board that works when the button is being pressed. I think it will look cool. Also it will tell me when I'm pressing the buttons aswell lol. Am I weird lol??

What - every time you need to open/close the doors - I would have thought most plastics will harden up again when they cool off. The originals seem to be more rubber based than the replacements
