Sounds like CIM failure to me
Are the lights on all the time or did it occur once and it has been fine since?
Next time it happens, turn one of the indicators on then off
If the light stays on, then it is CIM failure
If not, try the other direction just to make sure

Power steering light I believe is a communication error somewhere but I don't know where exactly. Fault codes need to be read though.

You don't get reliable fault codes with CIM failure, until it has failed completely
I had to wait three months for mine to become permanent

M8internet he needs to get the fault codes read. Lets be honest, you always have 'different' experience.

As said mate, getting your codes read is the best place to go to with this cars electronics, but when it comes to the CIM sometimes the codes can point you in the wrong direction so HERE's a couple of things to check for free before you move on to codes.

My problems were the same as yours and it came down to a simple dirty ABS plug, but TBH im sure this problem was sorted on 54 plate cars, but as said its free to check.
