Theres smoked LED jobbies on the bay, I personally like them but hate the pricetag...... Look at this on eBay:

VAUXHALL VECTRA C 02-09 SMOKED LED REAR TAIL LIGHTS

couple of guys on here have them and they are darker than the image on ebay, there are other standard lenses on there that are completly smoked apart from the bottom reverse lights but im sure you need to have the red reflective strip visable

I've spray tinted my lights using E-tech stuff. Worked alright I think.

Have had these fitted for the last few years and have gone through MOT no problems, as long as the reflective strip is clear everything should be OK

Bought them off ebay for bargain price ages ago, wasn't worth the hassle of me trying to spray them and getting runs everywhere.

Love what you have done with the rear lights! It looks like you sprayed the orange part of the cluster first then gave it a coat all over, is that how you did it? How many cans did you use? Sorry, should have replied with quote in response to the e-tech stuff!

Cheers guys,im not a fan of the lexus style light but i do like the led ones.I have looked on ebya and some of the smoked ones do really differ much from my current SRI ones.

I also looked into tinting therm myself but not to keen on taking them apart expcially as 1 of mine has green mould around the bottom lens and the other one has got a small amount of condensation in it.

Do the LED ones work with the canbus system?

Just a thought but im sure i read something on the latest updates with the MOT guidlines that if done by the book any light that has been made darker that it was meant to be would be considered a failiure. Im going to have a look through the legislation to see if i can find a link

This is a copy of the section from the MOT

Products on the lens or light source that obviously reduce the light's intensity or change its colour will become a reason for failure – applies to front/rear position lamps, registration plate lamps, stop lamps, rear fog and direction indicators,

    You're correct sir!

Because I had the ****ty orange indicators on mine, I tinted them long ago (been through MOT since)
Then recently when i did the spoiler i put two coats on the whole cluster and the 3rd brake light. I'd estimate i have between a 1/4 and 1/3 can left. Cos about £5-£6 on ebay,

Hope this helps, and thanks for the feedback - You too Mark!

    Stuart
