I was being a bit sarcastic. I don't want to mount it in te globe box. I need it on view for my sat nav.

I have the other dashmount bracket fitted in my car

You have to remove the long trim under the display, the top goes in between dash & vent. The bottom is held with 1 torx screw behind trim that secures vents & display into position.

lol! Feel bit of a prat now...

I've got the same bracket as Ian T, previously I had it modified to hold my iPAQ's Seido cradle properly (I had to mount it further up the bracket so that the bottom didn't hit the trim) and I'm got to modify it again to hold the screen for my new Nokia CK-15W car kit and TomTom One V2 - when its done I'll post a pic.

The vent - pull the trim strip underneath it off, just clipped on but needs good tug. You'll then reveal two screws to release the vent.

What is the mount screwed into? Don't follow.
    Im planning on buying http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/No-holes-Unive...QQcmdZViewItem

How did you fit it for your mount?

phones are rubbish for sat nav anyway i used to have one and it was too quite and screen too small plus crashed all the time. you'd be better getting one of those window sucker ones then and put it on only when using it.
