    Default 3.2 running costs

How many folks on here have got a 3.2 but use to have a 2.5 vectra b? How much difference is there in running costs and also does it seem a quicker car?
    Cheers steve.

It's a lot quicker m8, my old paw had a 2.5 which I drove often and the 3.2 will blow it away performance wise.

There is a very noticeable difference.

I've had the 2.5, 2.6 and now the 3.2 - all automatics. In each case, I think there was an improvement in performance, particularly so with the 3.2. Overall running costs are not significantly different, but my mileage is mostly on motorway, around town the 3.2 is probably a bit worse on fuel than the smaller engines.

The 17" tyres are quite a bit more expensive than the equivalent 16" ones on the 2.5.

In general, the Vectra C is a significant improvement on the B - go for it!

I had A Vec B 2.5 and now own a 3.2 GSi, there is a massive difference in power and i find the 3.2 is much more thirsty on fuel compared to my old 2.5

I've been averaging 26mpg so far, but the last couple of tanks I've got 28mpg as there's been less traffic (so less stationary time) on my commute to work. I've got a heavy right foot when it comes to acceleration too.

james your foot cant be that Heavy LOL
We have 3 3.2v6 in our family one fitted with NOS but thats another story. Between the three we average 24-25mpg Tyres last about 10000k depending on how hard you push it. Servicing no additional cost over my last Vectra.
Insurance went up by 25 quid with both Wife and Myself on it.

Brother Had a 2.5v6 and my 130 SRI was just as quick 0-60 but put a 3.2 against it it doesnt compare.

The only thing I would say Is preformance Mate if you not driven one OMG.....

It will blow all other normal cars away unless u go down the Turbo or sports route. Watch the boy racers Jaw drop when u nail it from the lights and he is left it your wake.

It is a very Big wolf in a very small Sheep

Go and get one mate you will not regret it.

    Vehicle : Vectra GSi 3.2 V6

I had a 3-litre Omega until the end of last October. My 3.2 GSi is WAAAAAAAY quicker! I don't usually go blatting away from traffic lights but I have soundly out-dragged 3-Series BMWs and I matched a Porsche 997 down a motorway slip a couple of weeks ago without trying. Mind you, I doubt he was going for it.

    3.2 GSis are VERY quick.

On the motorway, I can easily average over 33mpg. In town, I have done 28mpg! Usually, 26mpg is achievable.

    Never driven a 2.5 V6 Vectra.

    Paul
