    Default clunking

had a clunking from the front end of my preface vec for a while, its an auto box. when i pull away it clunks, then if i stop and go in forward or reverse, it clunks, sometimes a double clunk. ive tried full lock and reversing, no noise or grinding. sounds like someone banging the floor under my feet with a rubber hammer. drivers side inner cv boot was changed just before i got it, looks fine, as do the other boots, but googling it really sounds like a cv joint. checked drop links, look good, the other bushes look ok too, inc engine mounts, tried lubing them, no difference. its worse if its cold. i have also noticed its got a bit of a wobble now with the front wheels, this wasnt there a month ago, feels like tracking or wheel balance but havent hit anything so should be ok. its a 2.2dti sri auto on an 04 plate. is it a lot to change the cv joints, also checked the front springs, all ok, and top mounts seem good, turned wheel jacked up, no swaying about.

i sprayed everything i could get to at the weekend, all bushes, eng mounts even where the springs sit, and the rad mounts, well, from what i could see of them, whats the best way, from engine side of can you get to them from the front under the little rubber flaps, pics could be helpful to see if i sprayed the right bits

this was off another thread on here

I opened the bonnet this morning, located the two springs at the top of the radiator at either side, sprayed with WD40 and hey presto, as soon as I reversed off the drive the problem was gone so thanks very much - I am now a happy bunny that's not being driven mad by an annoying creaking noice when travelling at low speeds.
