    Default sri suspension!

hi, ive got a vectra 1.8 ls 2002 and am wanting to put sri suspension or just springs on as its sitting too high at the min.
what i was wondering is are the springs interchangable, will springs off a preface 2.2 sri fit my 1.8. if not what will i need?
also i dont want to buy lowering springs off ebay yet because im living smack bang in the middle of a building site and roads arent finished yet and speed bumps are like small mountains
    thanks in advance

The springs you will need will depend ont he weight they are supporting. So your best bet would be to get the suspension off a 1.8 SRi. I am presuming the springs for a 2.2 are higher rated a the 2.2 will I presume be heavier. I'm sure someone with more knowledge on the matter will be along soon! If I were you I'd go for PI springs and stick with the standard shocks. I did that on my LS and it looked and handled much better. I used the 40/45 springs and it sat nice. If you want to pm me your mobile number or an email address I'll send you some pics of my old car.

send me a pm with either a mobil number or an email address and I'll get some pics over to you! I think you'll be fine as long as you take your time and don't go flying over anything.

The SRi shocks are different too, not only the springs. They're specific to the sports suspension and made by Sachs. You can still use them OK along with Eibach lowering springs.

Yes it is but the V6 engine is heavy and if your car doesn't have the front end weight it's gonna ride higher and be a harsh old ride if its not pre-tensioned.

The 1.8 Vectra has front springs rated at 940kg, the 2.2 petrol has 990-995kg springs.
