Everything's very easy to get to on the 2.0T, you'll need a 32mm socket to get the oil filter casing cap off, sump drain plug is usually a 15mm socket but some have torx bolts in them. Four torx bolts to get the engine cover off, 10mm socket to remove each coil pack and standard spark plug socket to remove the spark plugs. Air filter is the same on pretty much all Vectra's, a few torx bolts to undo on the cover until they're spinning (don't need to fully remove them) and the cover pivots sideways on it's hinges (you'll need to use a 7mm socket on the jubilee clip to undo the MAF first.

Fuel filter is under the drivers side just infront of the rear wheel, two clips to remove (they're fiddly if you don't have the right tool and best to get replacement clips when you buy the filter too).

Thanks mate I've done the majority of it now but got a rounded off torx screw on my air box i canne undo. Also i was told and got 6 litres of 5w 30 fully synthetic GM oil, as told to change it every 30,000 miles or 3 years, is this right? Always done it every year on all my other cars.

The diesels (same MY) are 30K miles / 2 years
The petrols are 20K miles / 2 years

The Service Indicator on your car should show you how many miles left to next service
On completion of service, reset this

i wouldnt be leaving the oil in for 3 years /30000 no matter what anyone told me, and 5l is enough well it is on my 2.2 direct and leaves a little over for a top up when needed, think your engine takes same amount of oil as mine.

The Z20NET has a capacity of 6 litres, but half a litre will stay in the engine when you drain the oil, so you'll need 5.5 litres of new oil to make the oil level reach the MAX marker on the dipstick.

    It's 30K miles / 2 years, not 3 years

Discussed before, I had my doubts about this, especially in a diesel
However, it is a service indictor and limit
Mine has never reached the 30K miles and the interval reduces dramatically around 15K miles, such that the service was performed nearer to 22K miles
