cd70 navi software update

has anyone in southyorkshire area got a cd70 sofware update disk i could lend as i have been to 2 vauxhall dealers and they both say they can't get one.

I bought one from dealers £5 but I have been told you can only use them once ,didn't make much difference anyway TBH

Checked mine and its got an old 2005 FW, so will look into getting one of these.

What a complete load of horse-hockey!! Granted, once you've updated one CD70 Navi you won't be needing to use that disc to update it again, but the disc itself can be used any number of times on any number of headunits... case in point was the disc I originally had floating around the country a while back... that must've done 30+ updates. Then there's the 2 others that followed on a while later....

Sounds like yet another Vx stealer who just hasn't got a clue or can't be bothered.

Sorry to sound dim but what does this update disc give you? I've just bought an sri with CD70 and disc is 2005/2006. Is it worth buying this update disc? Thanks.

I've always taken the view that "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" Becky. If you are updating the unit by modification such as Aux In, then fine, but if not, and it works, leave it alone, you don't need it !

I don't think it will stop you from using a later Navi Disc if you ever have one come your way.

I'm on on firmware with the latest 2012/2013 maps and it works fine :-)

You have to have a maps disc inserted in the unit all of the time for it to work.... So doubt anyone will lend you there's lol

As for downloading it... That's illegal and not allowed to be discussed on the forum!

Get down to vauxhall or keep an eye out on eBay!!
