confused Loss of clutch pedal pressure..help??????

    Hi,
    I own a 2006 Vectra CDTi 150 Sri.

I've had my dmf, csc and clutch replaced at Mr Clutch (I know, but they were the cheapest by far!) around 1500 miles ago.

Since then I had trouble getting into 1st or reverse gears in the morning on start up. Its fine for the rest of the day once the car had been warmed up. I've taken it back to Mr C, who just scratch their heads and say its fine.

A couple of weeks ago the clutch stuck to the carpet when going from 4th to 5th and again 5th to 6th. the biting point was way down to the floor and the rest of the pedal travel was just weak, as if there were no hydraulic pressure. Took it back to Mr C who said the only thing it could be was the master cylinder. Had that changed and it seemed ok, for a week.

Now the pedal still has a good few inches of play before I feel any hydraulic pressure- much more than it used to. It goes into gear ok now when cold though. If I pump the pedal 10-20 times before driving off the pressure seems to come back a bit. Mr C have tried bleeding it twice and reckon its free of air. Also they say there's no signs of a leak at the csc so therefore can't be air in the system.

    They have replaced:
    Dual Mass Flywheel
    Concentric Slave Cylinder
    Clutch
    Master Cylinder.

They told me that everything between engine and gearbox is new so therefore any problems are now probably the gearbox. I'm not convinced they really now what they are doing.

I have brought it back to them at every predetermined mileage for the check up to keep the warranty valid.

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated!!

    Many thanks.

I see. So do you think I should go back and suggest they check it out? I'm guessing they'll be very reluctant to replace the CSC without absolute proof of a failed part?

I would be getting onto them , especially after they have chucked parts at it & it still isn't right .

its down to them to sort you out mate, stick to your guns, dont go in all blazing just yet, remember you went there witha fault and asked them to fix it, however your stillhaving problmes, and yes new parts can be faulty, rare but it happens.

you could be looking at the possibility of a full strip down again.

Is there a possibility that there is air in the system as it seems to improve when the pedal is pumped? Or would this also be the case if the CSC is iffy? I read somewhere that there is a bit of a knack to bleeding vectra clutches........or am I clutching at straws? (Boom-boom)
