CD30 Distorting At Low Volume

As per title, when I got in this morning and put the radio on, it sounded horrendous, even at very low volume.

It sounds as though the volume is maxed out even at low volumes as it is distorting.

This happened to my old one once and never again, but this one has only been in the car for a year or so as the old one was replaced under warranty for a different fault.

Is this common with CD30's or is it just because it was 1*c this morning?

This used to happen with my cd30 turn the car off leave for a couple mins and turn it back on

Cheers. Sounds like it could be a common thing then. Suppose its an excuse to upgrade....

That's what I did mate used that as a excuses that it's breaking and got a pioneer double din lol

I'm having the same issue with my CD30 MP3, every now and then when I turn the ignition on it will play ok, but once I turn the key to start the engine the unit restarts itself (sort of) and comes back very loud and distorted or it doesn't come back distorted but sounds muffled, like the tweeters are not working and mids are very intensive. FWIW I changed my battery recently but it was doing that with old one too.
