went to Asda today to fill up ready to go on holiday im watching the counters go up and im thinking thats gone more than it should for the fuel i had in

look down and im stood in a puddle of fuel the damn auto shut off didnt kick in fuel all over the back of the car and wheel had to take it to be washed as it stunk of fuel and the missus looked like she was going to throw up from the smell

they knocked off £2.50 cost me £5.50 to get a gold wash done on the car

you weren't looking at the nozzle as you pumped the fuel? what were you doing that you missed that amount of fuel pouring out?

I used to wedge my fuel cap to hold the pump open (still do if im filling to the top). Years spent in Europe with the ability to lock the pump and then walk off and clean your windscreen.

It was only a few years ago you could do that here in Blighty too. In fact a lot of the pumps still have the holes where the lock clips used to be.
