    Default Standard 2.0 Turbo Exhaust

Hello, Long time since I was last on here posting. Been away for a sandy holiday again and my car has been off the road for 5 months so needs some TLC to get it back on the road again.

What I'm interested in is the exhausts for the 2.0T. I have an SRi with the twin exit, but trying to get a standard exhaust is proving to be an absolute ****! I knew it would be as nobody makes patterns for it, but I can easily get hold of a pattern copy with the hidden exhaust tips. Now although I can't see why they would be different can somebody confirm that the exhaust with hidden tips and the sport version are both identical apart from the back boxes? So if I was to get my back boxes from VX, but the front and centre pipe from auto factors this would all fit together as the bore etc would all be the same.

The time has come to get rid of my exhaust as the Mrs. is driving now so it means I can steal her 1.2 Fabia for work and leave her mine to save on fuel money. Plus it's had it's day, but it's too loud now. Will be on Ebay soon hopefully.

It's good to see this place still going strong and the users are still joining.

There are several possible solutions for you. You could buy the backboxes from Vauxhall, but with a Trade Club discount to take the sting out of the price (I wouldn't recommend paying the retail price), or you could buy the cheaper exhaust with the downturned tailpipes, cut the tips off and bolt-on a very nice, stainless steel pair of visible tips bought from MIJ Exhausts' ebay shop.

A mate of mine just got a full exhaust system for a Saab 9-5 Turbo for £50 from a breakers yard, and it was a nearly new system!!

Well now just leaving the exhaust fitted as I can get my Mrs. insured on it. Now just need to replace the brake lines after it failed its MOT.

Yep Family is all good and well, still in Geordie land. Cheers mate.

Yep still the MIJ exhaust that's fitted. Was hoping to take it off, but can't be paying so much if I can get her insured with it on.
