Default Lowering Signum 3.0 V6 CDTi

Looking around for springs and I found that the 3L CDTi was excluded in most items on the list of car fitments.

I have actually bought the >1000kg H+R's which arrived this morning and I am led to believe they will fit.

I'm expecting these to maybe drop the car a few mm more than expected but I'm not worried about the load rating. If a couple of "larger than average" people were to sit in the car it would make more difference than that between the 3.2 petrol and the 3L Diesel.

What I would like to know is if anyone has had any experience of fitting the same to their Diesel V6 or if not, which springs they did go for?

Cheers in advance for any help.

You can fit any springs / shocks that also fit the 3.2 V6, the difference is negligible

Ive got Eibach Pro Springs on mine and there fine alot stiffer compared to standard, I did have a set of FK's off Critch but in all honesty they were naff!

Ive heard good things about the HR's on other models though so should be good.

Lol yeah I did realise that fact 10 minutes after posting, what a plonker!! Critch is the one who beat me too the Irmy springs and shocks on ebay!!

Yeah I ended up gettin rid of them Mark they were just to soft for the big lump up front and the rears were to hard for the hatchback's lightweight back end.

Well I fitted them and so far I'm more impressed than I had ever imagined. The ride quality and handling is twice what it was and the drop is sexual.

I never expected it to be so smooth on lowered springs which says a lot for these H+R's. I'll take a picture and measure the arch to wheel centres and report back soon but I would say the drop is also pretty level to the eye. Maybe a touch lower at the front but it's never enough that I've cared to look closer.

Another note is that although it dropped noticeably when I got the car back on the floor, it did come down some more after a quick drive and I'm pretty sure it still settled lower over the course of today.

I am a little bit worried about camber and wheel alignment now, but I think I'll wait until I get some decent wheels before I get that looked at.

Overall I am a very happy man.

Shop I bought them from were also very helpful and definately know their stuff so I'll give them a well deserved shout. www.motamec.com

No pictures as yet but I can say that I have a measured drop of 60mm front, 50mm rear.

It sat at 390 arch to wheel centres all round pre-drop.

Now sits 330 front, 340 rear.
