    Default Caliper bolts....

    Hi guys, just a quickie, does anyone know the size of torx bit needed to seperate a 314mm brake caliper,, I want to take them apart for cleaning and painting but my limited tool kit hasn't got one big enough... Cheers

    E20 for the carriers, 7mm allen key for the sliders.

    Cheers mate,, is the e20 the same one needed to undo the 4 bolts that hold the caliper together, I want to seperate the 2 halves so I can strip and repaint it

    seems to be a surge in 314 upgrades lately, mine are going on in the next hour - unpainted though for now.

    i was gona split my calipers in same way as you mate, but had no vice to hold the calipers in, could not get the bolts to crack, there on very tight.
