    confused CDC 40 radio

I have removed the cdc40 head unit from my 57reg design before it went to the breakers after an RTA.
I didn't get the chance to 'divorce' it from the the car as it was not driveable.
Is there anything I can do retrospectively to be able to re-set the radio?

There are companies on eBay who to be able to do it but the cheapest way is to get a car pass from Vx for your car the security code will be on that and that is all you need.

Thought the CDC40 didn't have code as such, but had to be 'divorced' from the donor car using a Tech2 or similar?
Obviously, I cant do this now with no access to the car it came from.

Did you not have a user pack / owners manual?
If you did, then the code is on a paper credit card in the pack.

If not, then you can get the display read - the display stores the VIN number from the vehicle you have
(or PM me your registration number, and I will PM you the VIN number.)

Take this VIN number or registration number and certificate of destruction to the dealer along with about £30, and you should get your pass after a couple of days.

The VIN number will also be on any MOT certificates that you may have.
