What is it you want, a polish to try and make the paint look better, or a wax seal as a final stage?

Halfords you will be limited to Auto Glym really, for polish the new formulation (Super Resin Polish (SRP) is very good. After SRP you could use HD Wax, but this isn't cheap in Halfords, or Extra Gloss Protection (EGP), this is also good, but won't last as long as a dedicated wax/seal.
There is also Ultra Deep Shine, but this is a one step product and is "recommended" that nothing is put on afterwards.

If you want just an easy on easy off wax then i would go for the mequiars Gold class wax , it is the last off the original wax,s that mequiars did/does but it by far outperforms the wax they introduced to replace this one ,.
Mid price range this should see you through the winter , Very important to follow the instructions on these as if too much is applied then it can be a pain to get off again

Ended up gettin a megs deep crystal carnauba. So spent the last few hours polishing and waxing. Gave it a wash then SRP then 2 coats of that new wax and i'm made up with how its finished. Only downside is that can see all the stone chips and that i'll grab a couple of pics. For me i've done a good job

That Megs carnauba wax is cracking stuff also-and it comes off easy--not like t-cut,i found this to be awful to use in applying and removing.Found this out years ago on my old Pajero, put it on when the weather was sunny and i had the nightmare of a job to get it off-i will never use it again--but Megs and Auto-Glym is sound----Dave--
