confused Signum 3.2 V6 spark plugs???

    Howdo.

I've been looking up denso iridium plugs for a Signum 3.2 V6. Sites seem to list IK20s for a Vectra 3.2 but IK16s for a Signum 3.2

Are they not the same engine?

What have people put in their signums?

    Cheers

I used IK16s in my Signum, it ran like a bucket of crap after a while, took the plugs out and it looked like the piston had hit the bottom of a couple of the plugs as the gap had closed right up.

When measured up against the standard Bosch supr 4's the thread end did seem to be a couple of mm longer on the Iridium ones.

To be honest save your money and buy the 'normal' plugs its not worth the extra £

Seriously? **** me. I've long been a fan of uprated plugs but that sounds scary...

Looking at this guide on denso website the only difference I can see between IK16 and IK20 is the heat rating:

I have IK20's in mine, absolutely no problems, runs lovely! I guess the Signum 3.2 has to be the same? My engine is the Z32SE, if you look on cylinder 1/2 side of the engine, should see the engine code on a sticker.

I got my plugs from Opie Oils, just checked for the 3.2 Signum and they have it listed as a 3.2 ?turbo? (didn't know they did them!) and yep, IK16. Perhaps give them a mail, they're very helpful.

So what did you fit, 16s?

There was a charged version of the 3.2 but we never got it here. That would have been sweet.

    20's on mine.

    Turbo'd version sounds pretty tasty!
