    Default Towbar Queries CDTi 150

Howdy, ok gotta couple of questions regarding fitting a towbar to my 2008 SRi cdti 150 if anyone can help out or give advice it would be greatly appreciated.

    1. Im planning to be pulling a car trailer loaded with a mk3 astra v6, would the 150cdti be upto this or would it just shred the DMF and clutch as well as ruin the rear suspension?

    2. If the answers to the above question are positive, would it be possible to have a detachable towbar fitted so that it cant be seen when not in use? Hidden behind the rear defuser for instance then a bolt on swan neck or similar?

    3. How much would this all cost, is it something that i could retrofit myself in my garage? Theres a towbar fitting centre near me but if its something i could tackle myself and wont break the bank id rather do it myself.

Any input welcome, thanks for having a look

You really need a 4x4 or a transit van to safely tow a car trailer with a car on it.
