Default Tips req for radiatr removal

Any tips on removing a radiator from a 2.2 petrol. Haynes says to remove front bumper, necessary or not?

I did the intercooler on my 1.9d (it's inbetween the aircon rad and the rad (yours will have a gap there)) i got the front high in the air, got the bumper off and dropped the rad out of the bottom. I think there's a brace in the way which makes it impossible to slide it up (oooh errr). DONT take off the aircon rad as you'll risk poisoning yourself with the gas and you'll have to get it regassed. I parked mine on 2 breeze blocks either side... and i could only just get the intercooler out.

Many people are afraid of removing the front bumper. It's actually quite easy. 5 mins on a good day, 10 to 15 mins on a bad day.

I remember fitting my front fog lights without removing the bumper. What a complete waste of time and effort, if id have spent the 5 minutes removing the bumper in the first place id have saved myself half an hour of hassle.
