Price vs Milage

Hey all,

Possibly a bit of wild question, but thought i would ask. Starting to get serious now about getting an Insignia Elite 2.0 Diesel 160.

As per any car, the 2nd hand price is relative to the mileage.

Looking at the current prices, its looking about £15.5 to £16k for a low mileage (between 10-15k) but down to about £12k for one with 20k on the clock.

Is the extra mileage worth the saving? or should i spend the extra and get the lower mileage? Opinions?

if it was me, I'd spend a third of that on a low mileage vectra. If you're dead set on the insignia, i'd go low mileage - i bet you'll be able to beat even a dealer down to 12k for a 20k miles car

It depends on how long you plan to keep it and what milage you're likley to do, no point paying a premium for low milage if you're going to add lots in the first few months. equally you could buy cheap with high millage, use it very little and it would be low milage for it's age when you come to sell and you'll gain.
Service history is more important IMHO.
