If the wiring is all plugged in all i could suggest is the mic is faulty.

You may not have dash loom to work with the mike so would need an extra bit wiring made up

Bought the module, Mic and made up loom kit from a guy on e-bay.
fitted it all myself and it seemed good, correct plugs and nicely finished wiring, wrapped in fabric tape.
so I tend to agree the Mic must be faulty. Nothing in the module to play up is there??
or settings that need adjusting ??

nope, nothing in the module, the mic may be hooked up around the wrong way though, if it is, it wont work at all

Checked that, ***** showed me the correct terminals.
loom connector was marked to make sure Mic was connected up properly when In a call my voice can be heard but very, very faintly...hardly audible....so I think the Mic is knackered, or could the wiring be poorly made up? Bad connection or something?
